Who's behind It?
BANZAI is the not-so-secret content and creature-creation lab of Javier Salazar; a director, writer, and illustrator born in Argentina an undisclosed number of years ago. Hint: he caught the original Star Wars in theaters (and still wishes for an actual lightsaber!).

Fueled by a life-long passion for animation and drawing—and after completing a few side quests in advertising and TV production— Salazar finally embraced his true calling and, in 2005, co-founded BANZAI Studio.
​
There, alongside a talented team of collaborators and good friends, he brought numerous stories to life through animated series, documentaries, and award-winning short films.
​
In 2021, he relocated with his family to Vancouver, Canada, where he now savors the summers, hits the winter slopes, and dodges the bears—when he’s not directing a series, consulting for clients, or crafting his next picture book.
