JAVIER SALAZAR

BANZAI is the boutique studio, workshop, and creature-creation lab of Javier Salazar—a director, writer, and artist born in Argentina an undisclosed number of years ago (hint: MTV ruled, MacGyver was "the man," and Akira melted his brain).

Fueled by a lifelong passion for animation and drawing—and after completing a few side-quests in advertising and TV production—Javier embraced his true calling and, in 2005, co-founded BANZAI Studio.

 

In 2021, he relocated with his family to Vancouver, where he savors the summers, hits the winter slopes, and dodges the bears, when he’s not directing series,, consulting for media companies, or crafting his next picture book.
